Hello there! We are conducting a survey to better understand the user experience in making a first edit. If you have ever made an edit on Gamepedia, please fill out the survey. Thank you!
I'd like to thank you for making this awesome wiki! You and S3n5ai did a great job! and I'd also like to thank you for editing my page from "editing" to "administering" :D --Dethklok52 18:23, 4 February 2011 (PST)
Image Categories[edit source]
Hi, I'm Arrow and I've been managing the categories section of the wiki. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could review the image categories and help ensure that any pictures uploaded will find their way into at least one of them. This will make things considerably easier for people to find pages, and also will help when someone who is knowledgeable about bots comes around. --> Arrow (Talk) -- Sandbox 09:08, 9 February 2011 (PST)
Admin Inactivity[edit source]
Hello, I would like to find out if you have any intention of doing administration work on the wiki (being a bureaucrat), as I have not seen any activity from your wiki account for a month, or from any admin for the record. Is there any intention of following through with the decisions and discussions made here: http://www.magickapedia.net/wiki/User:Arrow/Petitions? As you might not be aware, there are spam being posted everyday and cover over 50% of the active contributions to the site. I would like to know if I should be abandoning this unmaintained wiki. Suspending account creation?[edit source]
I don't know who could make this decision, let alone change the setting, but I think it's time to (temporarily) suspend new account creation. I don't think there have been more than two real accounts made in the past week. Xaxor 19:08, 25 March 2011 (PDT)
- Would that actually help? Spam pages can still be created without accounts. - Xinhuan 23:11, 25 March 2011 (PDT)
Address resolution problems[edit source]
Hey, recently I noticed that pages are only accessible via the http://www.magickapedia.net/index.php?title= style web addresses, and not the http://www.magickapedia.net/wiki/ style addresses. This basically means that none of the links on the wiki work. I get that most of the admins are inactive - that's cool (it's not like there is a huge amount of vandalism, all the information is still there and legible). But this is super frustrating in a site like a wiki that relies to heavily on links. I assume it's some technical issue, could you guys fix it? I promise not to bother you about any other shit lol, I just want to be able to read and edit pages without all the fucking around of replacing text in my address bar. Background image available for download for personal use?[edit source]
Hey, My name's Sam and firstly I have no idea what I'm doing, so if I've asked this in the wrong place I apologise in advance. I was wondering if the site background (with all the mages fighting the dragon) was available for download as a desktop wallpaper? I saw it on the steam sale and I thought it was really cool but I can't manage to find a link anywhere...
Thanks in advance! --Raistlin121 13:31, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
