Hi there![edit source]
Hey there S3n5ai, I noticed you're the only Bureaucrat and thus I think it's safe to assume that you're the guy who founded the site! I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Smashman, former Head Administrator at the Official Team Fortress Wiki, I think what you have here is very promising, and I hope to help out! Good luck and have fun! - If you could add me on Steam at the next possibile moment, that'd be excellent. I have a few things I'd like to speak to you about. Thanks. – Smashman (talk) 10:35, 2 February 2011 (PST)
Wiki Cohesion[edit source]
Hi, I'm Arrow and I'm an inactive moderator at [www.strategywiki.org Strategywiki]. I'm rather enthusiastic about this wiki, particularly because it's a relatively new wiki, has a lot of potential, and most importantly, is not hosted on Wikia. I'm just wondering though, as to what you think we should do in terms of monsters and items. There's very little cohesion amongst the community and it looks like everyone is going everywhere without a series of set guidelines.
On the topic of in-game enemies, we have a large table located here, but we also have a whole category consisting of pages about every individual enemy found. I don't think we need both, and no one I've talked to seems to have an idea what we should do.
I also reverted what looks like the wiki's first spambot edit, so please consider recruiting some moderators who can help mitigate any future bot attacks and help keep the wiki on track.
- I have spoken to s3n5ai about this, and he is sick and busy, thats why hes been inactive. --Dethklok52 14:36, 4 February 2011 (PST)
Admin Inactivity[edit source]
Hello, I would like to find out if you have any intention of doing administration work on the wiki (being a bureaucrat), as I have not seen any activity from your wiki account for a month, or from any admin for the record. Is there any intention of following through with the decisions and discussions made here: http://www.magickapedia.net/wiki/User:Arrow/Petitions? As you might not be aware, there are spam being posted everyday and cover over 50% of the active contributions to the site. I would like to know if I should be abandoning this unmaintained wiki. Address resolution problems[edit source]
Hey, recently I noticed that pages are only accessible via the http://www.magickapedia.net/index.php?title= style web addresses, and not the http://www.magickapedia.net/wiki/ style addresses. This basically means that none of the links on the wiki work. I get that most of the admins are inactive - that's cool (it's not like there is a huge amount of vandalism, all the information is still there and legible). But this is super frustrating in a site like a wiki that relies to heavily on links. I assume it's some technical issue, could you guys fix it? I promise not to bother you about any other shit lol, I just want to be able to read and edit pages without all the fucking around of replacing text in my address bar.
